EV Start-Up Rivian Hasn’t Sold a Truck. It Thinks It’s Worth More Than Ford.
Electric trucking start-up Rivian is said to be looking for a roughly $80 billion valuation when it sells shares in an initial public offering soon.
Rivian’s valuation is eye-popping, and big even for an EV company. Its expected market cap outpaces Chinese EV maker NIO‘s (NIO) $63 billion market value, and it is more than those of EV start-up Lucid (LCID) and XPeng (XPEV) combined.
